Hey Brad, I am thinking of buying a bike. Awesome! There is a great ride that goes for 100km and most of it up hill. Pick you up at 5am.

and somehow before you know it you are in the midst of a training program with some crazy goal at the end of it. Months later as you cross a finish line or achieve a goal that has tested your mental and physical strength and endurance more than you thought possible you have to give credit to Brad who wholeheartedly and enthusiastically provided you with excellent assistance, support and advice.
I would say without a doubt, no matter what you are trying to physically achieve, Brad’s your man.
This is how it started…
Born in Blacktown, Brad grew up in the western Suburbs of Sydney. Quickly he developed a passion for activity, from the age of 6 he toyed with Soccer, Rugby Union & Cricket, he found himself most at home with Rugby League. His passion was strong earning him a position on the “Harold Matthews” u/15 Parramatta team. But there was something deeper burning inside him.
At age 12 he received his very first weight bench & barbell set, which sparked a daily passion. He complemented the daily routine with learning exactly what do eat, how to train & get the best results! He was the only person in grade 7 taking tuna & rice to school each day for lunch!
By the age of 15 and grade 10 at school, he was competing in his first bodybuilding competition, placing 2nd at the Mr Logan City Bodybuilding championships, at a whopping 67kgs! By this time he was already designing diets & training programs for family & friends!
At 17 years old, in grade 11, Brad Placed 3rd in the Teenage category at the Australian Bodybuilding Titles, and he was hungry to find the direction that his life was to unfold. One thing for sure is that he was to be involved with exercise & inspiring people!
1993 – 1994
Brad opted for the study of Human movements, specifically Physical Education teaching. His studies lead him to coach several sports including Touch football, Gymnastics & weightlifting. During this time, Brad continued to train & compete in bodybuilding and find strategies to dramatically change your body shape!
At the age of 21, Brad won the Junior Mr Australia title. He combined his preparation with personal training clients, which lead him to develop the concept of “Peak Physique”. Late in 1995, Brads Australian title complemented the inauguration of Peak Physique!
1996 – 2000
During this time Brad trained literally hundreds of individuals, achieving amazing results with people and developing a reputation as a leading personal trainer in Brisbane. He trained & mentored people from bodybuilding champions to property developers to hairdressers to clients that were pregnant, disabled & HIV positive! In 1996 Brad started teaching at Fitlink College, a fitness education college that educated future personal trainers & group exercise instructors. As his reputation expanded, Brad continued to follow the professional lecturing circuit, presenting at national fitness conferences.
Brad further expanded his experience in the fitness industry by designing & developing strength training equipment with Elite Fitness. In addition to this he starred in Health & Fitness TV shows, designed personal training diaries, exercise posters & wrote fitness editorials for many publications including Virgin Blue’s in-flight magazine! However, Brad was looking for something more.
Brads goals had shifted, now to build a team of Brisbane’s best personal trainers. He wanted now to surround himself with positive people that shared the same philosophy; to positively impact people’s lives! And Peak Physique started to grow! Having spent many years away from competitions, Brad stated to involve himself in Fun Runs & Half Marathons, quite different to bodybuilding competitions!
With Peak Physique growing, the dream was becoming reality. Peak Physique was now helping literally hundreds of people reach their goals through exercise. After having a taste of endurance activity, Brad entered more events including: The Eco-Challenge, Cross Country Mountain bike races, 24 hour mountain bike races, ½ marathons & the famous Noosa Triathlon. It was also in 2002 that Brad Met Adrienne. Their first date was a workout together. Brad knew when Adrienne jumped up and did 12 reps of Wide Grip Chin ups that she was the girl for him! Adrienne quickly became known as HP, the Hungarian Princess!
In 2003 the Peak Physique team grew to 10 personal trainers, and hit a record 150 X 1 hour sessions / week! As the team grew, so did the quality & diversity of the personal trainers. To Brad, it is the ultimate enjoyment to surround himself with great people who love what they do! Brad continued to race mountain bikes, 12 & 24 Hour Mountain bike races, Gold Coast marathon & the Byron Bay, Mooloolbah & Noosa Triathlons. During November 2003, Brad completed the Forster ½ Ironman (1.9km swim, 90km Bike, 21km run) event.
Adrienne, or HP as she was now known, had also joined the Peak Physique Team as co-director. Brad was certainly living the dream as he was really doing everything that he loved in business, in his personal life and what a bonus it was for him to be sharing every experience with Adrienne. Their time togther often consisted of Mountain Biking, Running, Cycling Hills and of course plenty of wining and dining!
In 2005, the Peak Physique PT's and clients were now enjoying huge rewards from entering such events as the "City 2 Surf" in Sydney, "Bridge 2 Brisbane" and the famous "Noosa Triathlon". It was from these events that the huge sense of community was rapidly growing at Peak Physique. Brad was certainly having a great time! Brad and Peak Physique had now developed a huge presence in the Corporate Wellness space and was enjoying passing on massive knowledge to larger corporations through such events as the Corporate Seminar Series and the Corporate Fitness Overhaul.
During 2006, the Peak Physique Cycling Community was rapidly expanding and Brad was enjoying the pleasure of exposing many new cyclists to both mountain biking and road cycling. It was during this time that the "Springbrook Cycling Camp" was created. Peak Physique was now specialising in Functional Strength Training Programs for Cyclists and Triathletes. It was around this time that after a challenging hike up Uluru that Brad asked Adrienne to marry him. When Brad and HP weren't busy climbing mountains, they were spending their weekends renovating their first property!
After a spectacular wedding on July 14th 2007, where else do you think Brad and HP would go for their honeymoon - that's right the "Tour de France" - they spend the first 10 days of their honeymoon cycling over the rugged Pyrenees mountains. They did however, make sure that plenty of champagne was consumed to celebrate each day in the saddle! Upon returning back to Brisbane, the newly married couple quickly embarked on their second property renovation.
On October 11th 2008, Sofia Nora Sheppard was born. The new "mini peak" as she was now known arrived a week early, however still allowed her old man (Brad) to complete the 2008 Gold Coast Half Ironman. Soon after, Brad was out purchasing Babyjoggers, Baby Hiking Back Packs and Baby Seats for his mountain bike!
