Fruit Suggestions

With so much confusion over carbohydrates, most people I speak to have no ideas when to eat fruit or if they can eat fruit!

If you follow the protein diet, they say to cut out fruit. 
If you follow the fit for life diet they say to eat fruit till lunch!

So who do we listen to?  Is Fruit really friend or foe?

Remember that each person’s body functions differently, and relative to the way your body processes carbohydrates (and your activity level, of course) will largely determine exactly how much you can have before it converts to body fat!

So if you are following a specific plan, lets say the high protein / low carbohydrate eating style, then fruit is definitely not a major part

Alternatively at other stages of your eating regime, you should include fruit.

Now, fruit provides carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals & fibre!

Just remember that over-consumption of fruit converts to sugar and turns you system acidic!

So eat your fruit but don’t go overboard!

Try these suggestions:

1)    Try green apples as they have a lower GI
2)    Eat bananas before they go soft, as they turn to sugar!
3)    Eat strawberries & blueberries at night as they are low in carbohydrates!
