I am involved in the film industry and generally speaking have very little time to maintain fitness whilst working on a film, so the time I do devote to exercise, have to work. After years of pursuing “The Perfect Body” and always falling short (way short) I decided to enlist the help of a personal trainer.
This is not where I met Brad. I first found a guy that was almost oblivious to what I wanted and needed and I suspect he had a routine that wasn’t adjusted for any of his clients …. So he was out… I then found a trainer I felt I had confidence in; I trained with her for approximately six months and noticed little improvement, so I decided to look for someone new (this whole trainer idea was still very new to me). I was fortunate enough to work with someone who suggested Brad (Thanks Roxy!).
Within a few days Brad had ascertained my goals and helped me to focus on them. He took me out for a short run/ jog to find where I was at, and to my horror I found that, even though I had been training relentlessly, I was incredibly unfit.
Brad turned me around and not only improved my cardiovascular fitness (to the degree I did my first fun run in record time only 2 months after starting with him) I also changed my body shape which you always have to be happy about.
It is now nearly 6 years on and Brad and his team have helped me overcome many obstacles. Nearly three years ago, after the birth of my son, I had gained a lot of weight and lost all of my fitness. My training has been interrupted due to work commitments and health issues at times, and each time it has only taken a short period (and a lot of motivational work on the Peak Physique side) to get me back to and beyond the fitness levels I had previously achieved. At each turn Brad has researched and consulted Physios to maintain and at times adjust an optimal training program for me, not only to help my training but to improve my health (which I might add is the best it’s ever been)
This is my opportunity to say thanks to Brad for making me believe in myself and what can be achieved with the right help, and for being able to maintain a smile and a sense of humour even when I had lost mine... never once have I seen him less than happy and motivated to be doing what he does… and that is so contagious.
Thankyou to Frank as well you disposed of my “baby belly” and got me back on track and Miles, Peter, Joel & Brent, for all your sessions that have kept me hyped and looking forward to my next one.
I think I can speak with great authority after so many years and so many times that made my training harder to achieve that Brad and Peak Physique have done more for me than anyone else could have ever achieved. No matter what special requirements may have been necessary they were always wanting me to be happy and in my best possible form and achieve everything that I have wanted to achieve.
I am currently training to improve my time for my next 1/2 marathon (never thought I would be saying that…) and am showing more definition than ever before, I am over forty and I am feeling and looking the better than I have for a long time…. “The Perfect Body”??? no not quite but perhaps as close as I am likely to get.
